2025-2026 NC First in Freedom Festival Regional Art Contest
Pender County, in partnership with the Pender Arts Council, invites artists to participate in the 2025-2026 NC First in Freedom Festival Regional Art Contest in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. The contest is open to high school students and adult artists from Pender and Duplin Counties, with the theme "Freedom."
Participants will compete in a two-phase competition, beginning with a county-level contest, where winners advance to a regional competition alongside artists from seven other counties. Winning artworks will be displayed at Pender Arts Council and Moores Creek National Battlefield in 2026. Cash prizes will be awarded at both the county and regional levels.
